Kapıkule Border Crossing is one of Europe’s busiest land border checkpoints and serves as the primary gateway between Türkiye and Bulgaria. Located in Edirne Province, approximately 18 kilometers west of Edirne city center, it borders the Kapitan Andreevo checkpoint on the Bulgarian side. Operating 24 hours a day, seven days a week, the facility handles passenger vehicles, buses, and heavy freight transport. As a critical link between Europe and Türkiye, Kapıkule plays a vital role in international trade, logistics, customs operations, and cross-border transportation.
